The USB trick probably won't work, even if you had the right drivers on your computer. The contacts should be fine if they are stored in the SIM card, but contacts in the phone are probably lost forever. The phone shoulud still be under warranty if its 6 months old. you say its unlocked so I guess you did not buy it from your carrier. Try contacting whomever you bought the phone from, but my guess is that you will probably have to send it directly to Motorola for warranty service.

If you can find a TMO flex or Monster Pack, sure. Make sure the phone is not locked to another carrier first, and be careful. The wrong flex or Monster Pack will lock an unlocked phone.

www.motox.info or www.modmymoto.com has some absolutely wonderful branded and unbranded monsterpacks.

Where are you downloading it from? Certainly whoever you bought the software package from should be able to help you. Did you buy it directly from BVRP.com, or a third party vendor?

I would not trust an illegal copy. That is copyrighted software. Many of the "free" illegal copies are plagued with trojans and viruses. Why bother risking your hard drive when you can buy a legitimate copy for under $10 on Ebay?

Becuase my mom wont let me buy it:mad:
I know this works becuase my frinds does the same thing. Its not easy i had to download a bunch of programs and then i finally got to download MPT. I dont know why it isnt working. This one dont have a virus becuase if it did my computer would have been messed up already. The only thing I cant do it save and transfer to phone. When i click save the window flashes and nothing happends, and when i hit transfer nothing happends.

We can't help you at all with getting an illegal copy, or ways of making that illegal copy work.

And what you're asking is a violation of this forums terms of service.

Just because "nothings screwed up yet" does not mean you are not dealing with a virus. I've seen virus infections on computers before that did little things before the whole thing came crashing down. Ashley is also correct that it is against this forum's rules to condone or support illegal software. You also have to consider that if your Mom does not want you to buy a legitimate copy then she probably does not want you to screw up the family's phones. Does she know that you are now trying to make an illegal copy of the software work on the computer? Probably not. Sorry...

Apparently this kid isn't getting it. I love the logic that since he's the only one that uses it, it MUST be his, as if he worked to get it, and paid for it with his own money... :loony:

I honestly question whether he should even be allowed to use the computer with the attitude he has about it...

We have said to you numerous times that what you are doing is ILLEGAL and we can't help you, but you can't seem to get that...

We're not being grouchy, we are explaining to you how things are. No one here is going to be an accessory to the felony you're attempting to commit. Sorry. But I think we're all a little smarter than that.

The only suggestion we have for you is that you buy a LEGIT copy of Moto Phone Tools then we will be more than happy to assist you with any problems you have. If you're too young to afford it on your own, or your mother won't let you purchase it, you're only option is to wait til you're old enough to get a job, and be responsible, OR find another person/forum who doesn't have the moral upstandings or common sense to do/know better.

Actually I do buy my songs. I still buy CD's. I have well over 1,000 cds. I don't use limewire, if I want individual songs I use iTunes. But the purpose of this thread is to discuss your GSM motorola phones, so if you're going to veer off topic, take it to The Roaming Zone Thread.

    Block Caller ID and Shortcuts

Just FYI, The *67 to block caller ID would not work with my new v3xxx/ Cingular- calls just would not connect. Customer Service was stumped. Found out that's because she has a "Hide ID" for all calls. It's in settings.

Is there a way to create shortcuts? Can't seem to find it in manual or search on the forum. Thanks.:loony:

Re: Block Caller ID and Shortcuts

The setting should be in Settings/In-Call Setup/My Caller ID. I don't know if the following applies to the V3xx, as I do not have one yet, but on other Motorola models you assign shortcuts by navigating to the menu item you want to shortcut to, highlight it, then hold down the menu key for 2 or 3 seconds. A menu will then popup asking if you want to assign a shortcut to that item.

My phone connects fine to my PC (recharges and all), but when I load up a P2K program, I can hear the usb disconnect and then reconnect. When it reconnects, it asks for a new driver location....

    I'm using:
    Phone: V3xx
    OS: Vista HP 64bit
    P2K: 4.9.8
P2K drivers: 2.9 (this is where I directed the new request for drivers but it didn't work.)
    Moto driver 2.6.2 x64

Thanks in advance for any help you can give in helping me resolve this.

Since you are on Sprint you have a CDMA model. The CDMA and GSM models have different operating systems. It would be best if a moderator moved this to the CDMA forum.

Thanks for this web site. After searching through the posts, I was able to fix my MPT and transfer Mp3's to my razr using audacity. Awesome site.

    Thanks, slimalicious :browani:
