    Get it or not?

A friend on T Mobile (Philadelphia suburbs) visited and reported that she got 2 days at the most on her GSM Razr with modest talk time.

I understand VZW Razr's get the same battery time. Also my friends on VZW report just OK (rf) signal holding capacity.

How does your RAZR compare in battery and signal holding? Please mention your carrier.

I'm with Alltel and get about 2 days (sometimes more) with modest talk time. As for the signal, I have not had any problems and think it is just great at holding a signal.

My brother has the V3 with T-Mobile and he has never had any issues with signal. I can't speak to his talk time, but I always plug my phones in every night and I have a car charger, spare wall charger and spare battery, so running out of juice has never been an issue with me. Of course, it helps having all Motorola phones so I can use accessories from my older phones. That isn't possible with the RAZR since it has a funky battery and mini-USB charger.

If you need to be able to use your phone a lot, than it may be worth the extra expense to purchase an extra battery, car charger, etc. The RAZR really is a great phone with good RF.

I have the V3m, another runoff of the V3 series. My reception is real good, but the 3.5 days to 4 day battery life under normal use, could use some improvement. If you play a movie or very much musci, the battery is dead within hours.

All the extras, Camera mp3, etc., have to get the power somewhere. I use my camera rarely, but it is nice to have for ringer Id and wallpaper. Other than that ,I really just want it to be a phone.

Yep on the battery power. I ordered a 1900mah for mine. Which is 'almost' 3 times the OEM battery. The cost of the 1900mah was maybe $5 more than the cost of the OEM battery.

Camera is a rarity for me to. I noticed that you show the LG VX6100. I had the LG VX6000. In the 2 yrs I had it, I think I took maybe 4/5 pictures and that was it. And that was someone who wanted pic's of their car wreck.

I absolutely love the V3, but the V551/7 has EDGE and better RF from my side-by-side tests. If you are frequenting low signal areas or use a lot of data I would recommend the V557, otherwise the V3 is great.
