Sara - I'm guessing, then, that you don't drive at all?

I do drive, but I usually don't talk on my cell when I'm driving.

I don't talk on my cell when driving either. But that doesn't stop my wife from calling. And with bluetooth I press the talk button on my steering wheel and have a conversation without ever looking away from the road. Bluetooth rocks.

That article is incorrect. It is making assumptions based on the Korean RAZR which does not have the same specs as the US CDMA RAZR. The US CDMA RAZR will have bluetooth. It does not have a transflash card though. The exterior display and interior displays have differences. The keypads are different as well as the color. The US version has superior audio output as well as advanced voice recognition beyond what we are used to today. It is also available in mint or wild cherry flavor.

Will not be exclusive to Verizon!

Good info! So you saying besides Verizon some other carrier will carry the CDMA RAZR?

I'm sure other carriers such as Alltel and US Cellular will carry the RAZR besides VZW.

I could have sworn that Verizon will have the CDMA RAZR by the end of the year. It's like that with most carriers. They're not correct with release dates.

There was an article in the WSJ that I saw some time back that said VZW was pushing Motorola to modify the RAZR based on their specs for a 4Q 2005 release.

Of course since this wasn't set in stone, anything could happen.

Recent pics of the cdmRaZR from MobileBurn.com. They say the CDMA version of the V3 will have a two-toned grey color scheme.

Re: FCC Approves CDMA RAZR V3C

Or, a better question...assuming all of these rumors of a V710 'settlement' are true, and replacements are inevitable, is the RAZRcdma worth the wait? (Or, is there something even MORE worthwhile beyond the RAZR?)

I just hope the CDMA RAZR will be available for the holidays. My contract with T-Mobile is up in December.

Re: FCC Approves CDMA RAZR V3C

As of this moment, the Verizon RAZR will be released after it has been released for the other carriers. Alltel, US Cellular, and another I think will all get the RAZR first! Of course, this is all subject to change. It will be close to see if it makes it in time for Christmas.

If you want a RAZR for Verizon and can wait until this time next year, trust me, you will want to wait. :browani:

To me this RAZR is better that the GSM version. The difference is the CDMA RAZR has a megapixel phone. ;)

Yay! Well, sort of, it's cool that I could get the CDMrAzr for Alltel but I don't know if I really want it and I know I can't afford it.

Re: FCC Approves CDMA RAZR V3C

Hm. Here's a thought. The CDMA RAZR will have the VZWRed GUI when it shows up at VZW, but what about on the other CDMA carriers (alltel, USCS)? Will it have Moto's standard GUI, or use some variant of VZW's GUI?

Don't get too caught up on the "red GUI". It was a prototype video that showed that. Much progress has been made on the look. It should now support skins so even if the default GUI is red you can change it.

Re: FCC Approves CDMA RAZR V3C

It's not the red that bothers me - I realize that most GUIs can be skinned these days. It's that, as odd as this may seem, after playing around with some of the LGs at the VZW store, I think I prefer Moto's interface over VZW's 'common' GUI.
