my friend did, and its amazing, it snapped on in 2 seconds, is hard to remove (in a good way) added visual appeal, and he dropped it that day and the phone wasnt even dinged, the case didnt even have a scratch...i advise you to get the Cellut or whatever (youll see it on back of case in picture)

THere's a guy at the flea market that sells them for $10. I was tempted to buy one, my only hangup was that the phone wouldn't fit in the holster anymore.

What exactly do you mean when you say Cellut? is this a style or a brand or what? I did find this link that had some pretty cool faceplates with the belt clip but wanted to see what you were talking about first.

    Thanks

Thought about getting one of those Silicone covers for my daughter, who has a bad habit of dropping things, she's already trashed 3 phones by dropping them.

Have you heard anything about the silicone covers?

Try some of the electronic stores, I work part time at Staples and was surprised the other day when I saw we carried them. They should be in the aisle where phones are sold, opposite home phones. Same aisle as car chargers and other accessories for cell phones.

What you are discussing are covers, not faceplates. A RAZR faceplate would require you to unscrew the original faceplate and screw on another one.

There are two types of covers (not cases) that I have seen. A hard plastic variety (most of them are clear) and a rubbery silicone variety. From what I can tell, both are good for protecting the phone but it looks like the hard plastic ones, as long as they're not too generic and fit the phone well, are the best at protecting RAZRs.

Make sure that the cover will fit your particular model (V3, V3c, V3m, etc.) as some of the RAZR models have different dimensions.

i own several of these snap on faceplates. i think they are great!!! you dont have to worry about messing up your phone by taking it apart. they dont cause any damage to the phone but provide great protection!!! i luv em.

Got a black leather one HERE without a belt clip. It's great for carrying in your pocket. Actually it's a fake leather outside over a plastic inside. It snaps on in about two seconds and comes of easy to. I found it on ebay for under $10, including shipping. Bid on it and won from there ebay store.

I debated, briefly, getting silicon covers for our Razrs. I also looked at the snap ons. After weighing the pros and cons I opted to get a good lambskin case/holster with spring steel belt clip. As I have Bluetooth I don't need to have the phone out all that often so "dropping" it isn't that much of a threat.

I found that all the cases that are form fitting and/or snap on detract from the slim appearance of the phone and that did not appeal to me. Where I to change my mind I would opt for the silicon style. The plastic cases were a tad bit garish (at least the ones I have seen locally).

I hope you don't have a V3R as I think covers are non-existent right now. I bought one for "ALL" V3's but it seems the outside screen is placed lower and the motorola sign is above where it normally is.

The best cover i found was a vinyl graphic cover. I bought it off ebay from Visionskins. You can still use the belt clip. It's more cosmetic than protection against dropping. It also helps with scratching and are easy to take off and replace.

I would never cover my phones with a snap on faceplate, makes em look cheap, but that's just my opinion.
