Chapter 11 doesn't necessarily mean the end; it gives them some breathing room to reorganize and try some different things.

BTW - When I lived in Atlanta, Radio Shack opened a large super store under a different name. There may have been others across the country. It was out near 85 in the vicinity of Norcross, I think around 1995 or 1996. It lasted less than 2 years. Can't remember the name of it...

Ah, I found it at edgar-online.com in their 1995 10-K - Incredible Universe

Oh and there is a worker reunion website:

My first color screen GSM cell phone was from Radio Shack. The Motorola T720, the senseless UI of which brought me to WA looking for answers. :D

I just went to RS over the weekend looking for an audio cable for my Mini.

Hope they can pull out with the breathing room.

That explains why I never heard of it... Being an inner city teen, I've never really ventured out to the suburbs.

I hope this isn't the end, but when companies file bankruptcy, it is a slippery slope, and they sometimes fail.
