Hey guys, I have a SLVR L6 and I use it with Cingular AT&T. I bought it from ebay so it wasnt a cingular phone. With that being said it didnt have the stuff on it to get MMS text messages. So ATT tried all this stuff that didnt work and they advised me to buy a new phone or a prepaid phone. Since ATT have such ugly phones I was wondering if I could use my Cingular SIM card with Tmobile. Since they both use GSM tech. Just wondering.. thanks guys!

Hey welcome to WA piperpatooti! Ok if u want the settings for Cingular they are available here. As for using your sim card with t-mobile, the answer is simply no. You would have to port your number over to t-mobile and get a t-mobile sim in order for you to use their service. You can use your SLVR with them. Good luck.

If you want to use a T-Mobile phone with AT&T, you can buy an Unlocked one on Ebay, then pop your SIM in and change the settings like you need to do with your L6, I did this change with both my daughters L6 & V600 following the instructions on their help pages.

As you stated the link Clock provided is still showing under maintenance so I would check it later or tomorrow.

My bad...the settings are there when you scroll down the page. You can enter them in manually. Fire, if he does go to t-mobile he could use his phone since it is already unlocked.

Yes, that's very true I thought he was asking about buying a T-Mobile branded phone to use with his current SIM.

And T-Mobile if they sold this phone can send the correct settings to his L6 after he joins with them from his account page.
