I currently have the 5300, and wanted to know if the 5500 shares the same charger . Also, phonescoop lists the phone as having slightly diffrent dimensions, so I assume the belt clip no longer fits. Lastly, phonescoop lists the phone as not being data capable. Is this true? I occasionaly plug my 5300 into my laptop via usb to check my e-mail....

No desktop charger, car charger is the same, data cable, too.

    5500 is smaller.

    Did check that one yet.

Hmm... hopefully it does have data cabability... i am getting an aircard soon... but still.

Another thing I would like is the desktop charger. The 5300 had one but it was very hard to find and waaay expensive.

Go to www.sanyo.com and get charger for it. 5500 desktop charger is the same as for RL2000 or 2500, i think. I have ordered one last week. Cost; 79.99 vs. 99.99 for 5300 which is not good for 5500.

    To answer my own questions...

I got the desktop charger about a week ago. WAAAY cool. Its Syncable... which means I can have it charge and sync to my computer at the same time. And charge and extra battery.

It appears the data is still present on the phone as well.. but I have not confimed this yet....
