Question: I have a USB data cable for the A310, what can I do with it?

    I bought the data cable from Radio Shack, actually to use with my new SCH-A530, but I also have a A310. What can be done to the A310? Can ringtones be added? Thanks in advance!!

    The USB Cable for A310/A530 should allow you to connect the phone to a laptop computer & function as a modem, 1XRTT if you subscribe to Hi-Speed Access on VZW, great on nights & weekends especially if you have unlimited usage. Search this forum for related discussion topics.

    The USB Cable will also allow you to edit & manage your phonebook entries, including backups & restores.

    SnapSync & SnapDial software needed to run these applications - or the OEM Mobile Office Kit from VZW. A310 does not support BREW or ringtones download.

    Is there a number you have to dial to access the Internet or do you automatically get connected to the Verizon's Wireless Data Service once you connect your phone to a laptop?

    under the dialup connection, put 777.
    other than that, call verizon, that's what their techs are for, and if you have any problems, they can help fix it with you.
