So after a few months, how are the new plans working out? Are people going for the no-contract plans and paying full price for the phones or are they still opting to take the subsidized price? Is there a difference in the behavior of smartphone customers vs. standard phones?

I sell primarily to business users, so my customers are still going with the contract plans. My biggest issue is that most of the T-Mobile people I deal with in activations are relatively new employees. They are poorly trained in the new plans and this causes a lot of confusion and errors when trying to activate...especially when adding data features.

the biggest complaints from existing customers to me is that they have to pay an activation fee again for the first two phones. Other than that some people who are not able to afford a new phone cancel because they can do a contract somewhere else and get a phone. For the most part though the plans seem to be a pretty good transition.
