On the brochure I have, it says:

How Long Do I get To Keep Bonus Whenever Minutes?

You contine to receive bonus WHENEVER minutes each month for as long as you remain on the plan.

No the 1000 minutes is for one year. (the life of your contract) After one year the contract expires and the minutes you get don't grandfather to your next contract if you choose to stay with them. I think the promotion is ending tomorrow.

i called t-mobile CS and they the lady told me that yes, they are promotional minutes, but if you sign up on the 1000 plan, you will have 1000 min a month until you end your plan.

Yes, I believe that is correct whatever plan you are on now you can keep until you switch plans or end your service.

I called T-Mobile customer service yesterday and today, and then a direct T-mobile store today in Mt. View, California.

They have extended the promotion to Sept.8

Rumors were Aug.31, then Sept. 2

    Call T-mobile yourself to confirm.

Hmmm see the thing is that T-Mobile only has one year contracts and since thats the case it won't grandfather. That's what I was told when I got mine.

I just called T-Mobile CS and spoke to Michelle. I asked, "After the contract is up, do the 1000 minutes continue?" Her reponse, "They continue until you change your plan or discontinue the service."

So please stop posting FUD anonymously. Please.

They keep going unless you change your plan.

I agree with Jack and TnDan 21. They are correct. They don't change your plan for you. If you don't change it, then they won't either. After your one year contract is up, they don't renew it either, like Verizon does. Sometimes Voicestream (T-Mobile) will call and ask you to renew though. They will ofer you bonus minutes or a discount on a phone, or sometimes a free phone. It varies. They sent me a survey and asked me what type of rate plan would it take for me to renew my contract and I will it out and mailed it back to them, and they changed my rate plan to what I specified in the survey.
For those who may be curious, I asked for a $29.99 plan, this was before Voicestream had the $29.99 plan. They use to only have 19.99, 39.99, 59.99 and up. I asked for a $29.99 plan with 300 anytime minutes and 2000 weekend minutes, and that's what I got. That's right, I had the $29.99 plan before Voiceatream came out with it; Ha Ha. However even when they came out with the plan, they only offered 200 anytime minutes, I was still getting a better deal with 300 anytime minutes. After about 6 months I started going over my minutes so I to upgrade to the Get More plan, which I currently have now. I also get 700 anytime minutes instead of 500 or 600 like everyone else gets, because Voicestream are such nice people. They really take care of there current customers, unlike other companies, Ex. Verizon Wireless.

Oh goody Voicestream 24/7 is back. Welcome back Chris. I am glad that VS takes care of you, but for most of us coverage is still a big issue. Verizon may not give you free phones and upgrades (I think they should...), but their CS is not bad.

Yeah, I'm back. I've gone back to school now and this phone selling has took most of my freetime. I've been spending alot of time trying to acquire Nokia 7210's, Nokia's first tri-band phone, and it has a color screen. I think I just about got the deal done though.

    I'm back.

Hopefully Voicestream will expand coverage in your area 'Airb330.'
