My brother originally brought the sidekick 3 prepaid. I have a phone thats under contract. What I did was that I put my SIM card into the Sidekick 3 and see if it worked. However, it says

"Network data services are currently unavailable. Either your GPS APN is incorrect or your account is not configured to GPRS."

Is it possible for me to use the sidekick as my main phone? If so what do I do to remove this question?

Also, if i could use my sidekick 3 as my main phone, would i have to pay more in the family plan im in to use unlimited text, etc?

I believe the Sidekick data plan is separate from otehr data plans, although putting your SIM in the Sidekick it should still work as a phone.

Matt is correct. You are getting that error message because you are trying to access the mobile web without having the sidekick plan....Although everything else should work properly in the SK while using your regular sim. You will not be able to access any data on the SK unless you change your plan over to the SK plan.......As long as you don't try to use the TMobile web on the SK, I don't think you will continue to receive that message.
