Is it my my phone or the service that causes the call to be garbled when there is less than 3 bars of signal? The phone works fine when there are 3 or 4 bars, but when there are only 1 or 2 its worse than an analog phone. I know with my Northcoast (CDMA) phone, it will work fine with just 1 bar on it. Is that just the way GSM is? Or do I have a defective phone? I only signed up for a prepaid account, so its not a big deal for me to cancel, was just wondering what the deal was. Thanks.

I have a 3390 with Voicestream in Central Jersey & have no problems. Reception is less
satisfactory with less than 3 bars, so I think its the area, not the phone. 3390 works
fine all along the East Coast & Voicestream seems better than most providers. Had company
here from Florida with Sprint & they could get nothing.
