Ive heard that the QD is now being released in the first week of june if there is anyone waiting for its release this week.
surely you cant be in the nokia section and not of heard of the nokia n-gage QD? They have been pushing it in our faces long enough!
How much will it be? Read an article in cnn.com that the QD is going for as low as $60.00 in Europe with subsidies.
Gamestop still has the QD listed for a 6/29 release, usually they're pretty accurate on release dates. Where did you hear this? The QD will be $199 in the US, or $99 with subsidies.
Ive seen that it will be as low as $50 with an airtime contract. I see form the site that they have started shipping it, but this doesnt necessarily mean its availabel to buy yet does it?
here in england you can get it sim free for £139.95, but im sure it will be a lot cheaper on contract.
CWick, it's the "go in between" N-Gage until Nokia releases the next N-Gage model which is supposed to have some improvements over the original N-Gage. The QD addresses the faults and complaints of the original N-Gage by allowing the user to talk the regular way with the earpiece on the front of the phone and a hot-swappable MMC card slot. www.n-gage.com/qd
its what should of been released originally really. iT makes me wonder why they didnt realise the faults at before releasing the original.
Yeah Nokia turned a blind eye with the release of the original N-Gage. Let's see how the QD is received.
has anyone visited that piss take site recently: http://www.sidetalkin.com they have had to eat their words since the qd was released!!!
Could be, I haven't heard anything new about another N-Gage coming out. I'm guessing Nokia is biding their time to see how the QD performs.
If I had to guess probably at least 6 months. I highly doubt anything new would come out before the end of the year.
True who knows, Nokia is probably a lot more devoted to making more flip phones now since they just got back into that area.
im sure they wont abandon the gaming side of mobile technology, i mean this thing has been in the pipeline for ages and im sure that after a year they wont give up, so dont worry.
Nokia won't give up in the mobile gaming sector, the only thing is that they're focusing primarily on the products which sell very well. The N-Gage series was a pioneering project but if Nokia was to stop that end of their product line, then they wouldn't have gone as far as releasing the QD.
Yeah it's just a question of when they'll implement the marketing tricks to bring their mobile games back up. I think they need to drop the prices big time. MotoGP was retailing for €47 here in Cologne. That's insane, I can buy 2 PC games at that price.
