Poyphonic confusion!!!!

    ive got a nokia 7250i and i know that it can have 4 poly ringtones, but wot i want to know is does 4 poly mean that the ringtone can only have four diffrent instruments in it, or does it mean that only 4 can play at the same time(meanin lots of diffrent instruments but only 4 at a time) if any1 knows this wud be a great help cuz i wanna make loads of FF7 ringtones an need ta know if theyre gonna sound gud. thanx in advance
