I know lots of people here probably have nice custom Today screens. How about we all share them! here's my new Today screen, I just set this up the other day on my HTC Tilt. -Jay
Here is mine. I just wish it looked as nice as it dose in the pic. My screen cracked Monday on my trip back home. I should be getting my replacement tomorrow. SPB Pocket Plus 4.0 rlToday phoneAlarm
Oh wow. Sorry about that. You gotta setup a whole new device. How long do you think its gonna take to get you back where you are right now? -Jay
This is my Today Screen; it's rather basic with no extras. I like it that way Nice thread and screenshots, Jay!
Nice shots Jay. As you know I am teetering between a BB Curve & the Tilt. I had my hands on a buddys Maroon Curve today and it was pretty sweet. Then I find more shots of Jay's tweaked and refined Tilt, and just start drooling all over again
Here's something more for you to drool over... Here's a youtube video of what one guy did with his HTC TyTn II (An unbranded Tilt). I've been chatting with him on <another forum> getting several aspects of his Today screen animation setup on my Tilt. This is cooler than an iPhone! -Jay YouTube - HTC Tytn II with look & Feel of Touch Flo PS - Now how bad do you want the Tilt???
Not sure how long it will take. It will depend on how annal I am, and if I want to go with a different look.
What do you think about the look of the youtube video in post #6? I'm redoing my Today screen to be very similar to that. -Jay
Lol Jay, i have everything I need to access quickly right there. Other than the Today Screen: alt+send = Field Test, alt+ Start = MemMaid, alt+ok=calculator. hacked to enable short press of side button = calendar. On my Start Menu, I have: Recent Active Sync Excel EzQuote File Explorer Google Maps Msgled Notes Favorites Quick Menu Programs Settings. Yeah I know very Utilitarian. PS: I hope you noticed my provider is CWireless which ofcourse stands for "charlyee's wireless".
Their is always a wow factor with Touch Flo. It is cool that it is being hacked and expanded by the community. But for me personally it just dose not work. I find swiping the screen every which way to get on my nerves after a while. I prefer tab programs like Pocket Plus, Mobile Shell, & ILauncher to get at things quickly with a simple tap or two of the screen. I am actually waiting for a stable cooked ROM for my Touch without all the Touch Flo and HTC programs to pop up. Got to love the shortcut keys on the Treos. I always prefer a simple looking Today Screen.
Well, I am pleased to find out that you are at least doing some hacking. I have really expanded my knowlege on Tilt hacking a lot in the last 2 weeks. I haven't ventured into building a ROM kitchen yet, but at the rate I'm going I'll probably be cooking custom ROM's by the end of the year. There a lot of hacks that I haven't even tried to do, and at this point probably won't. A hack has to pack an incredible WOW factor, or be very useful for me to go through the bother of doing it. There are people doing registry hacks to improve BT functions, but I'm not bothering. I have no BT problems. There are also a lot of people hacking the video drivers, but as of yet I haven't had any problems so I'm not touching that one either (at least for now). -Jay
Wirelessly posted (Treo 750: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.6) UP.Link/6.3.1.17.0) Thanks budney. The weather forecast cooperated just perfectly for you and Mike. Jay, I don't do too much hacking for the WOW factor, mostly for convenience, functionality and speed, must be the engineer in me. The WM are great for modding with lots available, glad you are having fun with it.
Here is my new look with my new Touch. I thought I would take & post a few extra pics of my Pocket Plus Tabs & my SPB Menu. That way you can see why I don't use Touch Flo or the Touch Cube. Pic 1 - Today screen w/ Pocket Plus, rlToday, & phoneAlarm Pic 2 - Pocket Plus Tab w/ Pocket Weather 2.0 Pic 3 - Pocket Plus Tab w/ Today Agenda Pic 4 - Pocket Plus Tab w/ Pocket SportsCenter & Favorite/Most Used Programs Pic 5 - PocketPlus Tab w/ Most Used Device Settings & Programs Pic 6 - SPB Menu (from SPB Mobile Shell) I would normally use Quick Menu, but as you can see this just fits the Touch perfectly.
Ok, I've done more,,, I'm using S2U2 (Slide 2 Unlock). I'd put a screen capture of that, but I'm unable to get the screen capture to work, because it locks the hardware keys ) I'm using Ultimate Launch to switch the tabs on the top half of my screen with a 3D cube animation. Plugins I'm using: Ultimate Launch, HTC Home, Calendar+, Wireless, and Metrix. -Jay
