They must have heard you, because I'm using this App and do not see any ad banner. I actually prefer using this App for my Verizon email over the iOS mail App.

Probably, since I no longer use Yahoo mail. I have been using Gmail for about a year. Glad it is working out for you.

Actually, there is an ad banner on my Yahoo Mail. Been there for a while. It almost looks like an email message. The ad shows up occasionally.

But I have to say that Yahoo mail is not a buggy mess it used to be.

Your Yahoo App looks different than mine. I never see any ads.

Why would you go and call Swype a Swiftkey? :p Anyhoo, can't imagine my life without Swype either.

But your screenshot is from Swype. Here are both keyboards. First up, Swiftkey.

On the subject of favorite apps, the Milk Music (available on US Samsung devices) is nice. Still learning my way around, but it isn't bad... Nice.

No problem. I haven't used SwiftKey since before they added swiping. I suppose I should give it another whirl. Also tried SlideIT, but didn't like as much as Swype. Quint, anything in particular you don't like about Swype?

I actually went back to using the Swype keyboard today as I like the yellow trace better with the dark keyboard. I tried everyone of the Swiftkey themes but didn't really like any of them over Samsungs own Swipe keyboard or the Swype keyboard within the Swifkey App.

It seems too busy for me. I see a keyboard and I'd rather type/peck. So it is a presentation thing. And also, I like using long words and "Swyping" isn't for me on that.

Interesting, I find that Swype does better on longer words for me than it does on short ones where there are more choices. The other day I was swyping an email and I was telling the person I had their phone in my contacts list. Swype interpreted it as "congress lost" :D

I agree about "busy", with the way they make the "keys" touch each other resorting to typing is less than ideal.

Motorola did away with Swype on their OTA in May - I moved to the Google Keyboard - it's not too bad.

The Apps I use the most frequently anymore are:
Textra - this is a MUCH better SMS/MMS app than any stock one, IMO
GroceryIQ (keeps the grocery/to do list synced with the dh)
Expensify (for my travel receipts & work expense reports)
Fly Delta (for mobile boarding pass! and flight/gate info)
ES File Explorer (to connect to the home network & get files when I'm on wifi instead of USB)
    LinkedIn
MyTracks (tracks GPS miles for walking/running) I should use this more when I'm running thru the airports to catch my connection!
OI Safe - still my go-to password keeper - as well as all my hotel/air rewards number keeper
    My Verizon
Vikings - (keeping up with my NFL team and the league standings/schedules)
    USBank
    Amazon App Store
Target Cartwheel (saving a little money)
    DirecTV and GenieGo
    IMDB
    Pandora
    WinAmp to play my tunes
And all the Google products like Hangouts (IM & Video chat are more better than Skype), Keep, Drive

@grell72: Thanks for the link to Android Assist. I'd not heard of that one before. I especially like the file conversion feature. I haven't installed it yet, so I can't say it actually lives up to its hype.

There are too many to list but I haven't been on here in ages....spend most of my time at androidcentral.

Used to love swiftkey and hd widgets, but I just use stock keyboard on my droid turbo. Swiftkey lagged way to much for me in recent months.

    I always install:
    • Datavault for passwords
    • Calendar Widget for month view
    • Acar for vehicle expenses
    • Nova Launcher
    • Isyncr to sync to family itunes library
    • Trigger for NFC
    • WGT Golf - love this game

Recently I downloaded HiYa. It is a caller ID app. I also like that you can flag telemarketers as spam, and block them. I had one call the other day. As the phone was ringing, it said "Possible Spam" on the display. I answered it, and got "Hello, is Joy there?". "Sorry, you got the wrong number." "Oh, maybe you can help me then... I'm fundraising..." "Not interested (hangs up)". after the call I then confirmed it was spam, and blocked that number from calling me again.

I like the app so much, I used it to replace the standard Android dialer.

There was just an article about the major carriers working with the FCC to stop robocalls/telemarketing.

Spoofed phones numbers have to be stopped. Several companies sell a spoofing service where you can call your friends and have a govt number show up like the white house. They say it's for entertainment only, but it's greatly abused for fraud purposes.
