Where did you see this? Sprint has experimented with offering repeaters before, although I'm not sure what ever came of it.
that would be cool if you complained about coverage in your area you could ask for permission for a repeater or even request to know when a tower is going to be put in........i know when i had T-Mobile that they would tell me either: 1-6 months 6-12 months 12+ months never they told me if i should holld out and wait and they even told me where they were going to put it!!!! they make me so happy sometimes  and the make me so angry at other times
Well because I _____ed about the service again, Sprint dropped my $5 per month fee for roaming, and gave me a one time 50 minute compensation. Here is the email from sprint: "....We have recognized this as a problem, and we have a proposed solution expected to be in place in approximately four months. The proposed solution is expected to improve the network quality in your location. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I have waived off the $5.00 recurring charge for roaming from your account. From now onwards you will not be charged for roaming. I have also added 50 anytime minutes to your account for the minutes used during the conversation. " As to what this solution is in 4 months, I will have to wait and see.
trouble tickets are the only way that companies can make themselves better but people are just to lazy sometimes to submit those tickets.......they always talk about how their wireless carrier sucks but they never do anything about it
I always thought that Sprint CS doesn't really know about new towers/"solutions" that are going to happen. Either this is BS or the rep got some information from the actual RF department and a new cellsite is being placed somewhere near...if it's within 4 months, they should already be working on the site or should start very soon.
My educated guess is the latter....the CS person is full of it, and blowing smoke. If they are aware of anything, it would be a network wide software upgrade or something similar. They are never aware of site specfic information.
That's what I thought. However, it was nice of the rep to offer Yankees free minutes and to wave the $5 charge every month to enable him free roaming. Sprint is always good like that though, I have to admit that(Larry, did you hear that???).
T-Mobile reps know about tower upgrades and if they don't they transfer you to the Tech Department and they always know
after turning in 2 trouble tickets and various complaints sprint switched my plan to an upgrade in minutes and free roaming (with a new 2 year contract and $400 opt out fee, 2 phones ($200 each)). after another 3 trouble tickets they provided me with 5% off initial bill (69.99). I turn in the max number of dropped call credits I can a month. The last call I made they provided me with and additional 50 minutes to burn. I do not know if this is a specific repeater offer but it definantly would not hurt to apply. I also have inputed to get a cell tower on my landl, hey it can not hurt and wow what a signal you would get.
Yeah, sounds like the general actions sprint will take when they are called for that. They are waiving the $5/month fee for roaming for me, and gave me a one time 50 minute call credit.
