Hey everyone, this may sound a little crazy...but after years of sprint crap its justified! i've been on sprint for 5+ years and slowly have gotten fed up....my texts sometimes dont go through both ways...and crappy service...but my question is.. I am thinking about porting my number over to Verizon but i have this nagging feeling that somehow my number from sprint is going to carry over all my crappy service/text problems to Verizon.... anybody ever heard of anything like that? once again...crazy sounding maybe....but....help? Thanks in advance
Hello brettthe great, welcome to WA. Your Sprint problems will not carryover to Verizon by porting your number.
LOL, sure. Porting from Sprint to Verizon will get you out of Sprint problems and introduce you to Verizon problems.
Since you mentioned problems with Sprint service, would indicate what the problems are, where you use the phone and what type of phones? I use Verizon, they are not perfect.
I have had lots of texts problems, ( i have a sanyo Katana) and my stupid phone turns off or goes white in my pocket for no reason.... service hasnt been all that great, and the phones are not amazing by any means other...so I just feel its time to switch... What problems have you noticed with Verizon?
You sure it isn't a phone issue rather then a service issue? On another note, My Join date out ranks most people here and it still has me as a New Member, Ha.
As already mentioned some of it could be a phone problem as opposed to provider problem. Before you port out, I would suggest checking with other people in your area and see what works for them and then if you decide to go with Verizon, utilize their 30 day return policy to check coverage out for yourself. Not every provider will work for everyone or at every place. In my area neither Verizon or Sprint work. The CDMA provider that does work very well is USCC, a regional provider. Good luck to you.
