I just got a RAZR v3m and so far have been pretty happy with the phone until today. I simply had the phone laying on my desk while I was messing around on the computer, I got a text and heard almost a speaker pop from my phone. I had texts sent to the phone and still the same thing. It didn't matter if the ringer was on silent or all the way up....I still got the pop. Is this a common problem? I just got the phone so I could take it back if need be.

My phone does this too. I think this is normal but im no expert. It doesn't mean to make poping sound, but it just does. It doesn't mean anything is wrong with your phone so don't worry.

Same over here. It's almost like a little pop before the ring tone kicks in.
