Poll - Why have you delayed getting a new phone?

I voted "Waiting for a new phone to be released." My next new phone will definitely be an LTE phone on Verizon.

Waited for the Droid X at the right price ($50 on Amazon Wireless) last November.

I get a new subsidised phone like clock-work every 2 years when my contract re-news. My (European) operator has agreements with most 3rd party cell-phone dealers, so I can choose pretty much any phone available and have it subsidised, which is nice

Generally, I take whatever phone is in stock and looks good. Of course I could wait a few months for a better/faster model, but then when that comes out, they'll already be advertising/leaking info about an even better, faster phone, so the "waiting" game can be endless

Altho I did make an exception this year by waiting a few months for the SonyEricsson Xperia Play, because that's a very different/unique phone, and there was nothing similar available until that came out.

 

I voted "other" because I was waiting to get my phone until after I switched from Sprint to AT&T

 

You didn't make a choice for "I am satisfied with the phone I have now." Not everyone needs to upgrade to a new phone every year!

 

I am waiting for a new phone to be released... I'm happy with the Incredible, but I want an LTE device. I want the pricing to work, so I have to wait until December before I can get a discounted phone, AKA my Christmas present

 

Finding a job, and doing military duty...

 

I have put off for the following reasons:

1. Get my contract date in sync with my wife's.
2. Waiting on a employer provided phone, which would allow me to reduce my personal plan costs.

 

I voted other reason because of more important reasons to spend my money on. And besides I cannot upgrade until Feb. And even then I am on the fence about a smart phone. I like to keep things simple.

 

Please consider adding an option "Waiting to be eligible for upgrade"

 

Mine is "Waiting for a new phone to be released", plus I was still enjoying my current mobile.

 

Waiting for the Iphone 5, like everyone else.
