Hello, I'm new to this forum and looking around through the search it seems everyone is super helpful. All I really need is someone to point me in the right direction to a faq or something that explain how to make ringtones for this E815. I just got it a month ago and I've never had a phone that was this nice but I want ringtones and all I can find is ringtones for sell. I've been using computers for 15 years so I should be able to tackle this. Just need a nudge in the right direction.
    Thanks :)

Do you have a transflash card or do you own Mobile Phone Tools (MPT) with a USB cable?

In general ringtones should be mono, 96 or lower bit quality MP3 with no special additions such as Apple's craptastic copy protection. They should be around 25 seconds in length, and less than 400kb in size.

Here is a general guide for transferring mp3 and pictures using MPT.

Here is a general guide for all types of modifications you can do to the phone with various levels of difficulty.

Does anyone know if the V710 transflash undelivered message trick still work to get mp3 ringtones onto the E815?

Yes I have the transflash card. It's just really unbelievable you can't just copy them over from the card to the phone. I d/l'd a midi file and when I viewed it on the card via the phone, there is no "copy" function available in the menu to copy to the phone's internal memory. Is this right?

I did it !! the bogus message thing works still with 810. I used Audacity to crop the mp3. Now I have Sweet Home Alabama as a ringtone
