It is an opinion article in Wired.....

[h=1]Please Stop Fighting About Your Smartphone[/h]One quote from the article:
"Nobody cares what kind of smartphone you believe in. It’s not a religion. It’s not your local sports team even. Stop being a soldier. You are not a soldier. You are just wrong. Shut up."

Of course, this isn't something new with smartphones. Ford vs. Chevy, Coke vs. Pepsi, etc., however there seems to be much more of it in phones since the emergence of Apple.

I agree with this post. The smartphone market is becoming increasingly polarized by the big players. Some people really get mad/hate other people because of what cell phone brand they use.

    Or

People will judge another first and solely by their smartphone. Sad.

Use whatever works best for yourself!

Indeed. If I am happy with my phone, I find it odd that someone else finds the need to point out how "flawed and inferior" it actually is

Indeed. I rarely hear bickering between BlackBerry vs. Android, Windows Phone vs. Android, BlackBerry vs. Windows Phone, etc. The arguments always seem to be centered on Apple vs. Everyone Else. But then the "Cult of the Mac" has many "zealots" who seem a little too over-eager to promote the brand

    Chevy sucks :rasp:

I spend most of my time on Macrumors site and forums which clearly is a community for Apple users to share information. Very useful tips come forth.

What is amazing is the incredible number of Android users ( less so BB and WP) on Macrumors dissing iPhones and such. Some are former iphone users; some never have used iOS.

No sane reason for it. My conclusion is the same as the article above: zealots are brand neutral. Many kettles calling the teapot black! ;)

Hey, I wanna sue Wired for plagiarizer. It was on this very board that about 13 to 15 years ago I posted something to the effect: "This ain't my religion verses your religion; this ain't my country verses your country; this ain't an insult on your family name or your mate. This is just a wireless phone discussion board. We are exchanging personal experiences and opinions. Don't get so upset! (sheesh!)."
