Is it supposed to take forever to receive the password setup reply by email??? I submitted the request a 1/2 hour ago on the new page, & I still have not received anything back... Please advise. Thanks...

It probably should not take that long. Have you checked any junk/spam folders you may be using?

Yes, the new forum claims that the e-mail address I registered with on the old forums is invalid/not recognized. That's silly since I have the original registration confirmation e-mail saved in OE. What is going on?

So are you still awaiting your email reply or are you already set up on the new page?

No I can't even get an e-mail with my new password sent to me. I wonder if I should just re-register. I doubt that our old post count was transferred over. I sent an e-mail to Joe (the Webmaster), I'm hoping he can tell me what I should do.

I have even changed my email address in my profile to my work email address successfully, then tried to request new password on new forum & I haven't even recvd a confirmation to my work email address.

I am most likely behind a company firewall at work, but I can receive emails instantly from customers I speak with while they are still on the phone. Any suggestions anyone??? I would hate to have to reregister on the new forum as a new member. Please advise...

from what it looks like, the post counts are transferring over to the new forum. It has taken me so long to get to where I am now, & also tomorrow will be a year that I joined WA, by month any way. I would hate to have to start all over again.

Please keep me informed of your progress. Thanks & good luck to you...

Yeah I changed my e-mail address as well and it's still not working. I'm starting to get a bit frustrated about this.

For Hotmail users, turn off all junk settings. I know Larry had problems until he disbaled the junk mail feature.

    Matt,

I use Hotmail with OE. There is no junk mail ever sent to my junk mail folder in either OE or the web-based version of Hotmail.

Well I set all of my junk mail settings to Standard through the web version of Hotmail. It still doesn't work for me. What the heck is the problem?!!

If it says that your e-mail address isn't recognized, then you must not be entering the e-mail address that is on this system. If you've updated your e-mail address since you joined, you can't go by the welcome e-mail you received from this site.

As for the others, Hotmail is notorious for blocking the confirmation messages from vBulletin sites. I don't know all the details, but it is possible to allow them to come through. It's related to some settings in Hotmail.

A slight delay in getting your confirmation e-mail can be expected though. So don't assume it will be instant.

Also, changing your e-mail address here will have no bearing on the e-mail address on the new system. All the data was transferred over this morning, so the data over there will be whatever it was at that time.

Yes I had to turn off my junk mail filter on Hotmail in order to receive the confirmation e-mail.
