Playing Music on a SYNC

    I just got a new SYNC, and I really like it. I ordered the connector to use regulare 3.5 mm headphones. When I plug it in, it causes all of the buttons to lock. Anyone have any idea why this is? I cant pause the music or even change volume while listening to it on the headphones.
