Wonderful pic's Charlyee! What a beautiful and fascinating country. Hope you had a great time! Thanks for sharing! Chris
Never thought I would be a "Dittohead", but I agree. Cool pictures. Was looking for Indiana Jones but I didn't see him. SW
Those are some really nice pictures Charlyee. Thanks for sharing, just makes you wonder how can some of those things survive the tests of mother nature and time.
Those pictures are wonderful..... It looks like you had to do a lot of walking there. Hope you had a comfortable pair of shoes on your feet. Thanks for sharing them with us.
Thanks very much, Ash, Tony, Gamer, Mike, Chris, dmapr, Steve, RR, budney, Ddeer2, Joe, and Irene. It was a great trip, fantastic sites, wonderful friendly and ever so helpful people, great food, and ideal weather.
Great pictures. I see that you have been at all the right places. I bet you agree that the real is even more impresive. Now you should plan a trip Egypt.
Thanks hf1khal, yes the real is even more impressive. Btw, I have been to Egypt excatly 5 years back, although I would like to go again and vist Alexandria and the Sinai. However, before that I would like to see Syria and Lebanon.
True a lot more of ancient sites there plus a lot to do at night especially in Lebanon. This whole area of the middle east has many great historical sites that are wonderfully preserved. My business travel gave me the chances of being able to see many things every place I have gone to, other areas I would like to also see are China, Iraq and Iran but two of those three are an absolute no for the time being. The Far east has lots and above all I want to spend time in Greece, Italy and another trip to Spain I bet you will never run out of great places to visit and enjoy
Two different pictures, with and without zoom. Since you brought it up, here is the other one, together with a couple more:
Didn't know it was so gorgeous. Reminds me of some of the terrain from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
Thanks Kelli. .It does, doesn't it? i was pleasantly surprised myself. Gorgeous it is, without a doubt. The Khazna in Petra was prominently featured in the Last Crusade.
And speaking of Petra. The first half of last nights episode of Destination Truth took place in Petra. They were trying to proof of the Djinn, Episodes | Destination Truth | Syfy
