I went to Alltel in Pittsburg Kansas as they said they had the equipment to flash a 6255i. Got there and the phone would not flash no matter what he tried. So he said it had a problem and he was going to have Alltel send me a new phone by mail as I had so much trouble with this one, that was last Sat. I got the new phone today had it activated made a few calls to check everything out then tried to send a photo to my email address, same problem, It starts to send, gets to about 50 or 60 or 85% and then fails.

I just got off the phone with tec support and the lady I talked to did everything humanly possible to try to get it to work, I was on the line with her for allmost an hour. She checked all of the settings on the acc. Tried to send me a picture and couldnt get that to work that way either. I think she had everyone in that office helping and no show. Finally gave up and said there was nothing else she could do.

I guess I will call up the store tomrrow and see what they say.

    Any and all suggestions appreciated.

I started a new thread for this, I hope that was the right thing to do.

I think the thing that helped me was the data settings were set to QNC only, and it should have been set to Auto. Because picture messages are run though packets. I might be wrong though.

Hmmm, yeah the only thing I can think of is the setting to "auto" instead of wnc only or packet only, and make sure FST1 is active on your account and you are in an area where there is 1x or evdo coverage.

I can't belive it. Turned my phone on this morning and all of the mm messages that tec support tried to send me while we were working with the phone last night came through. I sent two pictures to my email and all came through fine.:D

If you are referring to the 1x vs. QNC settings on the PPC, those actually aren't on the device. It isn't setup to use a QNC connection, only 1x or EV-DO. Hope this helps. :)
