You mean besides tower hunting
But, Charlyee, what is there beyond tower hunting?!
Maybe 1 or 2 other things, but that's about it. :browani:
Better hurry...I just posted 5 more today. I have more to post tomorrow!
I just updated the list, here's the count as of today.

Such a small group has posted all the pics. Maybe we should campaign to all the other members to submit just one pic to the gallery.
I took a couple more pictures in Rio. Unfortunately I left my CF behind at work down there, but somebody is bringing it up this week, so hopefully I can post them Friday or over the weekend
The only drawback I see to the Gallery is the fact that the Non Cell-Site pics are also included in the picture count.
Don't think you're off the hook...I'm still gunning for you. I've been swamped with work projects that have kept me from posting, but I'm snapping away. I feel a 50-photo upload coming on in the near future.
That would make your picture count go up to 169. Why would be gunning for me, I keep telling you, "Go For The Gold" gun for Fire14, you would only be 8 away from him......
Here are the top 6 photo posters as of 12/11/05 at 10:15 a.m. PST:

I'll be heading over to London for a week before Hanukkah to attend to some business. Perhaps I'll be snapping away whilst there!
I just uploaded 6 more, so I'm at 171 now. :browani:
I forgot to upload them last night after I got home...
Cool, be sure to have a look in the Europe section to make sure so you don't get the same ones as I did ......you can also locate precise sites here:
Enter the Postal Code or the address of your location, then select "Click Map to: Show Base Station details". By clicking the blue triangle, you'll get an exact listing of which provider owns that particular site, the band the site operates on and the height of the tower.
CONGRATULATIONS on the success of "gunning me down". Although I still think you set your sights too low......
Somehow, I never thought of taking tower pictures when I was in London earlier in the year, so I hope you do.
Have a great & safe trip.
Shores: Many thanks!
Since the database can't (seem to) be downloaded, I've printed out pages around my hotel and other areas I'll be visiting. Could you imagine such a database for the US...never in a 10^6 years!
Indeed, that site is a gold mine
It would be great if we could get some pictures from some of the states that are still empty.
Taking six queires from the database around my hotel, I've pasted together a hunter's map:
Shores, thanks again for a great, GREAT pointer!
Whoa, you're very close to where I used to live when I was finishing my BA at an American university in Central London .
I have plenty more. I just directed a new wireless worker :loony: to the photos section here, and asked him to check out Kramer's photos in particular. Great pics Jonathan.
Looking forward to more from Europe too - I know the folks in London might say it's not Europe, but the more the merrier Shores.
I have a bunch more too. Too bad I no longer have all the Boston photos. MA is lacking.
Yeah, I'm working on it. There are still loads of sites on the right side of the Rhine here in Cologne which I haven't photographed yet.
My wife and I always find ourselves staying in the Kensington area, usually around the Gloucester tube station. That station is very good for connections to all of the central London trains, and for heading out to Zones 2 and beyond.
My office and field staff keep asking me to find a reason for them to come with on these trips, but gosh, I can't quite justify that (yet) based on business.
Welcome, Chuikov. I'm fairly new here, myself, but you won't find a warmer bunch of people who share our sickness/obsession/humor.
I appreciate your comment about my photos. Because I use them professionally in my work for governments, I shoot a lot, and my corporate site get the photos that take a pass through Photoshop. Have you seen that website yet? Many of my best are here in the gallery, but I have somewhere north of 600 photos online 'over there.' At last check I'm over 0.56 GB.
So what's your background and how did you find yourself in our hobby?
I'm hoping that the weather in London will permit photographing sites. The forecast is for rain while we're there.
when I was living in London, I went to Webster University's London campus in Regent's Park (Inner Circle - close to Baker Street) and I lived just off the King's Road in Chelsea at an American student residence hall. I had a great time in London but in the end it was too one sided for me since London tries to be everything at once: European, American and British. I have dual citizenship (German and American) and Germany was always my second home after the SF Bay Area since I spent the summers here (parents are from Germany and all of the extended family is also here).
London is a unique city since I was able to experience a touch of Europe and of the US in one place (ranging from the cultural and the culinary aspects). In the end, I missed Germany a lot since I like being able to speak both German and English interchangeably since both are my fluent languages.
I'm afraid I've learned the hard way - work - finding new sites and managing installation work for various carriers.
Your pictures are great because they show some of the most ambitious installations. Great ideas for difficult situations, but it's always preferable to put a 200' tower on Main Street .
And by culinary aspects you mean McDonald's and KFC? :rotfl:
Lol yep, the American culinary aspect I did enjoy a lot was TGI Friday's since the Brits haven't grasped the concept of free refills yet lol.
How's the count this new years?
Make the tower 199' and you won't have to light it! One of my fav "tall objects" is the water tower in downtown Newton Falls, Ohio (a client). It's marked with the Zip Code of the town...I'll let you figure out why they'd PUT THEIR WATER TANK on their City Seal!
Jonathan, this is what I have as of today.

I believe this list to be correct, please correct if you find any errors. I have it in a database table and check everyday to keep it updated.
(I put my cell pics in a database to help me keep track of them, so adding a new table for this was easy)
