A few pics from southern Ukraine. Sorry for the crappy quality, they are taken from the 2MP camera on my SonyEricsson phone. The 2 largest GSM providers in Ukraine are KyivStar and MTS (former UMC). Pre-paid cards are available from $5 USD and kiosks selling them are on just about every corner. Busy rooftop: Busy smokestack (I don't think the smokestack is operational, guessing by how close the antennas are to the top of it): Really small panels, not sure if it's GSM or maybe something else like WLL / Point-to-Multipoint: This was ontop of the police station, looks like some kind of high-gain HF antenna. I was thinking it may be for their squad-car radios, but then it's a directional antenna so maybe not. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any ideas what it is?
