reception...V3M or 8600. I compared the 2-side by side and the 8600 could not hold calls where the V3M could.

    Speaker goes to the V3M

    BT is BT....

However, I heard (someone else verify) that the 8600 has OBEX enabled from Verizon?

With the V3M you'll have to flash to Alltel to get OBEX...if your really conerned about that.

The flash UI is nice on the 8600...the V3M has that lousy VUI that's not customizable...

RAZR will get the better reception.........pretty good battery life.............mine last me from 5:00AM til about 11:00PM when i pass out.........haha.

bluetooth on Verizon is nothing but bluetooth........but if you plan on using the bluetooth for a handsfree headset then V3m might not be the best choice if your gonna be doing stuff like sitting down your phone and walking away cuz as you move away from the phone it gets staticky and the quality gets really crappy..........but if your gonna be holding it in your hand or in your pocket..........bluetooth should be alright.......

speakerphone is very loud on the V3m.......and like all speakerphones..........it kinda loses quality with increased volume

The KRZR is better than the RAZR...you should get that one.. It also has a better speakerphone and audio system for VCAST music or any other sounds...

i have heard that the KRZR is better than the RAZR but i'll stick with my RAZR cuz when looking at the dimensions of the KRZR (depth, width, and height) there is too little width.........height is usually pretty standard among flip phones (except for the G 'zone :loony:) but width is what bothers me sometimes..........i have big hands and something like the KRZR is too skinny..........i really dont care about depth

So would you say you are en-V-ous??? Verizon's marketing strategy is working perfectly! :D

Yes the i930 is certainly thick. Though not as obtrusive as I've heard some complain about it. It was a really nice phone (except for the Windows OS on it) for the time I used it...

Oh yes, I definately am. I might try Verizon so you can get a one year contract incase I'm not happy.

On the other hand, I like Cingular's roll-over minutes and we get a small work discount. I just don't care for their phones as nothing is appealing to me.

The Pocket PC version of Windows Mobile is much friendlier and easier to navigate. Things were not always so easy to find and it seemed to lack options I've seen in other phones. I should mention that the i930 has a much older version of WM than current WM models (I think it's WM 2003??). Phone was fine, Windows NOT.

If you haven't already done so yet, go to a Verizon store and play with the phones, especially the enV. That way you can get an idea of what you'll be getting, plus you do have the 14 day buyers remorse period.:)

I've played with it...that's the reason I've fallen in love.

I just talked to two more people down in my area who have Verizon and they said they get dropped calls. Maybe my area isn't the best for Verizon but when I travel a little north to work, their would be no problems. I use my cell phone a lot at home so I need to take that into consideration.

I've checked out the Cingular 8525. Any reviews on this?

yeah.......the only complaint i have for the i series phones was that my i835 about 3 months into use........would compulsively reset itself...........sometimes before it could fully restart........it would reset again......and the battery started going bad soon after i got the phone too......
