Does alltel have an upgrade option like cingular or sprint do. or do you have to wait till your contract ends. Because my contract ends in aug. Also is there any new pda phone coming out to alltel anytime. THNKS

I know that you can make changes and upgrades to your services without extending your contract. I do it constantly online or stop in the nearest store. I was there last night making some changes and double checked - they told me I still had 6 months to go - no change.

ta206 is correct regarding plan upgrades. If you're talking about phone upgrades and not paying retail price which is what I think you mean, if you are within 90 days of the end of your contract you can upgrade and get a discount on a new phone with a new 2 yr contract. So since your contract is up in Aug, you should be able to upgrade sometime in May. It actually works out to a new phone every 21 months instead of 2 yrs if you know when you can upgrade. If you want to upgrade to a Smartphone from a regular plan, I've heard many stories about people being able to do that anytime so you might want to see what your local store can work out for you if you mention that you might be interested in that. As for new smartphones coming out, the Q has been rumored to be coming for a long time but it's hard to say when or if it'll be in the Alltel lineup.
