I just signed up with verizon, and looking at phones not to crazy about flip phones. Was looking at the nokia 3589i. I'm hard on a phone so flip's are out so far. Any on have any rec's for a phone that has excellent RF's. I farm, and I have heard that some phones have better RF's. I just left AT&T, verizon works better in my area. All I want is a phone no internet, games, or really text mess. So any imput would be great. I'm phone stupid. Any make or brand I'm not picky. I also would like it to be loud in the ear piece also, sort of hard of hearing. Thanks for your replies.

3589i does have internet and GIN to get games and stuff but its does not come with phone unless you pay extra you can use GIN for downloads but it cost u over all the RF for this phone is great ive had motorola that get even less RFS so.

if anything, i would recommend a flip over the traditional candybar style phone. the screen is protected when flipped shut. todays flip phones are fairly tough. any of the LG flips are definately tough enough for you. also the Motorola V60s is a tough phone and easy to fix if something does break.

i put most of my phones through hell and the flips outlast the others every time. they have been stomped, drop out the car window at 70MPH, dropped on concrete, soaked in water and all kinds of horrible things. the only phone to out last all that was my LGVX4400, a flip. well, and my v60i but its expected of that phone.

get a vx4400. they are not too expensive, they sound good, have a good battery and take a freekin beating. or a vx6000 or vx4500

if you are still stuck on a nonflip, get the Nokia 3589 or the kyocera x414. both rigid phones.
