I was just curious about the number of people on this forum that have personalized plates, I have attached a picture of what I have on my car, the picture did not turn out very well, but you can see it. Now lets see what everyone else here has on their plates!!!!!!
I don't get mine until September, but I (naturally) got ROAMER1 (finally, since GA expanded the max characters on vanity plates from 6 to 7 effective this year) -SC
i want to get one that says KRANIUM i sent a request for it last year and they denied it with no explanation. and i found that no one else has it in pa.
Thats kind of wierd, its not anything offensive, I wonder why they didnt give an explanation. By the way I like how they do the personalized in PA, pay once to have the plates made, and then the regular price every year, here in Ohio, they get an extra 35.00 a year for them.
We have Protect the Panthers license plate on one of our cars (except these aren't the actual letters on it): Our other car has the citrus on it: Like I said, both of them have different letters and numbers on them. Also, we do not have personalized license plates.
Mine says "PGH PENS" and before anyone asks my why my license plate says, "Pig Pens," let me just say that "PGH" is an abbreviation for Pittsburgh and "Pens" is obviously Penguins. It got me out of a speeding ticket once because the cop that pulled me over wanted to know what it meant and I told him and he said, "Hockey season's just around the corner, isn't it, Mr. Hooligan?" as he handed my driver's license back to me and told me to have a nice night. The personalized plates in Kansas look like this...
Here's a link to all of the different passenger plates you can get in Colorado. I chose the standard plate because I didn't want to pay an extra $25 a year for a personalized plate.
I actually just ordered personalized plates for my new car a few days ago. They should be here in a month or two. They're just the standard white CA plates, but they read "ZERO I". (read: zero one) I wanted to get "Slave I" (as in Boba's and Jango's ship in SW) but I thought some people might not understand it and get offended.
Wow, they take a month to get plates made and to you out there???? When I ordered mine, it only took a week before they were delivered to me. The one bad thing about that I dont think the paint was cured all the way, they dont look very good now, paint is allready peeling off of them. 50 different styles of plates in Florida, that must make it a little difficult to keep track of.
Yeah Ohio was really quick to deliver the plates. I ordered mine on a Thursday and got them the following Tuesday.
I don't have personalised plates. But a friend of mine has a Volkswagen New Beetle with Alberta plates that say "FEATURE". (If you understood that, you're a geek. If you laughed, you're a REAL geek.) I applied once for personalised plates... tried "STFU" and "FOAD" and got rejected on both.
Here is the plate I used to have on my car. I was campaigning to get our local radio station to carry the Art Bell Show. Well after about two years of effort they carried the show locally and then Art went into retirement. I sent Art the plates and he was kind enough to sign one and return it to me. At least he is back on if only on the weekends.
In high school I had a teacher that wanted to get "PSY LKR" for his motorcycle plate. He almost filled out the app for it until he got to the reason line of the form.
