I am just stuck now I was all giddy for the mogul until I read that it's not GPS enabled.
i dont care about GPS..............i just want it so bad but its not inside my budget right now cuz i would be buying it MSRP
I am probably going to say for get about it any way. Since my current phone does not even have GPS so why do I care I have not a clue.

yeah that's a little weird......i've only ever used the on demand on my phone for movie times and locations never for anything else
After much mind twisting days on my part I have decided to go with the HTC Mogul.
Just contemplating whether I want to order by phone or internet. Mainly because I actually Thought of a few questions that remain unanswered.
doing it online is safer cuz even now not all the reps know about SERO so its possible that you might get a bad rep...........its also not uncommon for reps to mess up SERO orders.......codes not added.......various things charged that shouldnt be charged......yhadda yhadda yhadda...........just order by the internet.........and call and ask the questions in your 30-Day trial period........if you dont like what you hear........mail it all back
What about text messages is there a plan for that?
unlimited text messaging is included in SERO until 12/31
I would order online.
Many people have to ask for the unlimited text messaging to be added. I know that is what happened to me. I ordered by phone (they did not have online ordering then, or else I would have ordered online so I could have a copy of everything and proof of what I agreed to/what plan options I had) and they did not add unlimited text to my account. I just emailed eCare (during the 30-day trial period, of course) after I realized this error and they corrected the problem and gave me unlimited text.
yes but back when you had to cal in was the period of time where they were switching from the InPhonic system to their own site......now the whole process is streamlined and very rarely are they messed up
Does Sprints PDA/Smartphones have picturing messaging?
nope i wouldnt think so..............Blackberrys and SmartPhones dont get it cuz PictureMail is software thats part of Sprint's own firmware and they dont put their own firmware on the SmartPhones or blackberrys they just alter the OEM software
That sucks I was hoping they did because I was going to go with the Mogul. Good thing I have not ordered yet, now I guess I need to find a different phone now.
now im not sure of one thing though.............Sprint Picture Mail gets you a specific email address for people who want to send pictures to you from their computers..........
will that email address still work.........not really sure because they might have fixed that problem.........but they also give every customer a Sprint email address
your vision user name becing a username that you pick during the activation or purchase process i think and if you dont pick one its prolli just your phone number
I know if I were to take a picture with my current phone and send it to an e-mail it would use the 10 digit phone #@alltel.com
well Sprint gives you 3 email addresses
Email - @sprintpcs.com
Picture Mail - @pm.sprint.com
Text Messaging - @messaging.sprintpcs.com
its a lot
Yeah that is I only know of picture mail & text messages on alltel getting 10digit#@alltel. I do not have a data plan so i do not send out e-mails from my phone.
yeah well with SERO you usually pick all that at activation
There's a very simple cab hack that installs picmail on all of the pda's - I've used it on my 6700 and now on the Touch and it works fine. Check out the forums at PPCGeeks.com for the hack. - sheureka
Thanks sheureka I'll look in to the link you posted.
Updated: 9/17 Real Picture Mail for the Sprint Mogul - PPC-6800 - PPCGeeks
this seems to be it
Thanks SmArTeStChIlD421 for the link I found it quite informational.
and it looks like most people had no problems with the patch...........i want you to go get the Mogul just so you can review it and post something because im considering upgrading to it as well
I can't imagine why you would get the Mogul now that the Touch is available. - sheureka
i average 3000 text messages a month but the one month i did almost 6500.........theres no way i would survive with that device..........i need a real keyboard not a touch screen.........
Have you played around with the Touch at all? This is a little OT - but here's the big difference for me - loaded with exactly the same programs the Mogul would have about 15MB of storage and 7MB of program memory free - and the Touch has 80MB of storage and 50MB of program memory free. And if I want to do some serious writing or editing I use a Stowaway BT keyboard and mouse (serious wow factor in coffee shops and airports).
And do you really have those Motorola's? They don't have keyboards, do they? - sheureka
From my understanding SmArTeStChIlD421 means that he would be unable to use the touch as good or better because the lack of an actual keyboard other then the touch screen. What if you had to quickly respond to a text answering a question or two while on the move are you going to stop and whip out the Stowaway BT? I mean not to start anything just curious.
i already have an HP iPAQ and i know i cant type with fingertips on that then how will i on the Touch........i also tried to the iPhone out a bit.......that was just as bad and thats the only reason im not getting the iPhone........because its such a hassle to text and thats why i want a solid qwerty keyboard......and now i wont text with the stylus
