    Hello Everyone,
A few weeks back I purchased a PDA Touchscreen Business Cellphone - QWERTY Keyboard + Dual SIM from a company in China and sent it to a relative in Ohio as a present.
    He says:
" When I turned it on, it searched for a network, then told me there was No Network & No SIM. I tried this process in both SIM slots, neither of which worked. (The SIM I used came out of a currently working & connected phone.)" So I told him to call his carrier and that should solve your problem.
But he emailed me back and says:
"ATT has never heard of dual band and cannot do anything to make this phone work. They said that if the phone was unlocked and compatible here, then it would immediately connect to their network."
Do anyone have an answer to this problem?

This is not a new problem. For some reason the dual SIM phones from China have lots of issues working with US networks. My guess is that it may not have US bands available on it, and that's why its not working. AT&T is correct. If it is unlocked, and has the US bands (850 & 1900) on it the phone should connect to AT&T all by itself. From what I can tell China uses 900, and possibly 1800. It may not have the proper hardware in the phone to be used on the American networks.

I agree with AT&T Mobility, I never heard of that phone. Since it didn't recognize a known working SIM, you should return it to the seller immediately as defective.

As already mentioned, it either does not have the 850/1900 band ro it set manual network selection and it's on 900/1800. In the latter case, you just need to have him set the network selection to auto or choose 850/1900 (if available). OTOH, it may only be a triband, lacking the 850 band and AT&T uses 850 in his area.

Yes, there are lots of chinese phones that take 2 sim. I personally have the zoho v90 and it displays 2 networks simultanously. I use it only for international travel.

Plenty of dual network phones here. But I suspect the one you bought is dual network/dualband instead of dual network/quadband or dual network/triband.

I have this one and it works as described. If I use it int he USA with my tmobile and AT&T sims it displays both networks.
