Forgive me for being fairily uneducated about the whole wireless thing, but I have a question. I live in Salamanca, NY..which is in Cattaraugus county. I wish to buy a pay as you go cell phone, but the problem I am having is that I travel to Canada (Toronto area), about once a month and would like to be able to use my pay as you go phone there in case of emergency. I am having trouble finding a pay as you go phone that will work there, is anyone aware of one? I thank you in advance for your help.

You may want to try AT&T FreeToGo. It's prepay and appears to cover
Canada with a roaming charge. Note: AT&T is not promoting it
anymore since they merged with Cingular. You may have to go to a Target
    store to get one...............Greg

Consider Fido prepaid SIM cards when you go to Toronto; they suprisingly offer a good value when used on either side of the border. Rogers isn't bad, but now that they own Microcell Connexions(Fido's parent company), Fido is truly going to be positioned to be the value GSM carrier brandname of Canada. Just consider Fido Prepaid at www.fido.ca and setup your American phone number to be call forwarded to your Fido number.
