I recently used aznuwee's guide (link here) to add ringtones to my Verizon CMDA V3M with s/w version 01.19.05. P2k Commander succesfully loaded all the files on the phone and I added a couple ringtones to the phone and deleted a ringtone (Sunshine.mid) to conserve memory. I loaded up MSU and P2k again a day later only to find that P2k commander encounters an error and only loads 1 file under the a: directory. The error says:

    GENERIC FAILURE.
    Volume name fail!
    256 files found
1 filename loaded in 610 milliseconds.

Since only the motorola directory and one filename is showing, I can no longer add ringtones or do anything to my RZR. After searching a little while I now believe that the problem was when I deleted the ringtone off of the phone (the ringtone I deleted was not set as any ringers though). I was going to try and put the ringtone back onto the phone through p2k commander and see if that fixes the problem, but I can not find a link to the ringtone I am missing (sunshine) and once I have the ring tone I still have no way of putting it back into the proper audio directory because p2k commander only loads 1 directory and 1 file.

If anyone can help me find a way to fix this problem or point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

The program could have errored. Look for P2K Man or P2K Tools... they all manage files the same way...

    P2K Tools here: h t t p://storage.e398mod.com/soft/P2K-Tools-3.zip

I have the Motorola K1m for Verizon and am having exactly the same problem from the same scenario, except that I did not delete any ringtones. The progress bar at the bottom shows one green square, and it doesn't change.

I've tried different versions of P2k; I've updated the Motorola Handset USB drivers; I've uninstalled and reinstalled Motorola Software Update; and it's made no difference.

On my last try, I was able to create a new folder and then delete it, but I still can't see any files.

    I haven't tried the P2k Tools, though.

    HELP!

I am also having trouble with the P2K Commander while attempting to add ringtones. My P2K Commander encounters a problem and needs to shut down just after I select P2K Mobile Phone in the drop down menu. What can I do to stabilize my P2K Commander? I have tried MPT and can't download my ringtones using that software either. Is there something I can do to make one of them work?

I have resolved all my phone issues. If anyone wants to know how to get their mp3s into their krzr k1m (Verizon), or their own wallpapers, just let me know and I will tell you.

I have one last objective with my krzr though . . . if anyone knows how to increase the speaker volume I would greatly appreciate the information.
