When I called a landline with one of my two numbers that I ported into Verizon, it would show UNAVAILABLE for the name in the past, now it shows UTAH CALL and the number. Original Verizon numbers still show CITY/STATE (SALT LAKE, UT). This is my experience in Utah and is a good sign. Has anyone else in a different area noticed the same thing with numbers ported into Verizon? I hated the fact that numbers ported into Verizon would show UNAVAILABLE, this is a change for the good.
The people in my little villiage that have Verizon. Their name is displayed as Beaver,UT. I know some other people that are FORMER Verizon that ported to CELL ONE. Their numbers show as unavailable. I'm a original Cellone subscriber. My info displays as CELLULARONE and the number. I wonder if it is going to change since Alltel is taking thing over?
Verizon owned numbers usually always show up with something similar to city/state. They don't push the name like most carriers do. The CID displaying CELLULARONE would be nice too
When I call a land line, my VZW number shows on the caller ID - no name or city. This is not a ported number.
when i used to call home it said on the id unavailable now it says LIMA, OHIO then my number... its kinda nice but it doesnt help any... just shows u what town ur from
my verizon # always shows Knoxville, TN then the #. my eloqui, however, is kinda weird. It does different things. Sometimes it shows Huntsville, TN and the #. Other times it shows Eloqui Wireless and the #. But a few times it's said Phillips, Darryl L and the #. I wish they would pick one and stay with it. lol
here in va most numbers show up as VIRGINIA then the number... that's interesting that you all's numbers give the town name
So the ported numbers that changed from UNAVAILABLE to UTAH CALL are now displaying WIRELESS CALLER. AT&T/now Cingular phones have always displayed WIRELESS CALLER here. I wonder what's up with Verizon changing the CID every week now.
My number, ported from USCC to VZW, continued to say Hartland, WI (where my USCC number was based. When I ported it, I moved it to the Oconomowoc Switch, and native VZW numbers show Oconomowoc, Wi. Recently, my sister's, which was also based in Hartland, changed to Wireless Caller, and mine stayed the same (we are on different exchanges). If someone who has a sprint phone (says name) ports their number to Verizon / USCC, etc, does it retain their name after they have ported?
When I ported my numbers from CricKet and T-Mobile to Verizon two years ago(both of which showed the name) then showed up as UNAVAILABLE until a few weeks ago...now they show as WIRELESS CALLER.
