I've finally gotten around to upgrading some phones (had the current ones about 4 years now). I went to the Verizon kiosk in my local Circuit City and got my wife a Motorola W755 for $70 (after $50 MIR). I was considering the Motorola W385 (free), but there were none in stock. Anyway, I checked the Verizon website today and noticed that the W755's are buy one, get up to 3 free (first one $70 after $50 MIR). Does anyone have any experience getting the Circuit City Verizon guys to honor the website deal? Or am I better off returning the one I bought ASAP and ordering online? And to all my old friends, sorry I haven't been around the last few years.
Wirelessly posted (Opera Mini on Alltel HTC 6800: Opera/9.50 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.1.11355/408; U; en)) Website deals are usually just that... limited to online only.
Gotta be really careful with the fine print. IIRC, the usual 'buy 1 get up to 3 free' deals are based on how many new lines you add... add zero NEW lines, get zero free phones; and NEW means just that, new, not renewing.
Website deals are often better, and are not valid in stores. If you'll notice on VZW website's the mail-in-rebates are usually instant rebates. Alot easier to do that and wait a few days than to have to fill in the MIR and possibly never get it back.
