http://coverage.sprintpcs.com/IMPACT.jsp It appears that the RF maps are now ever more conservative than they were before! Areas that used to show as dark green have been changed to lighter green in a number of areas around So. Cal. This is surprising since they seem to want to be downplaying their actual coverage.
they did update it but from what I see they basically just changed the light green areas into regular green but there isn't any new towers that were built in the last 90 days, but good job on Sprints part at least they are updating it to the actual coverage.
Trust me I keep close tabs on them so I know. Plus I save old screenshots of them and even memorize the coverage patterns and new sites added. The Phoenix area didn't have a lot of changes this time but So. Cal sure did! This is the first update since late February/early March.
Boyle Heights got a new site added and also a couple in Manhattan Beach. Also one in Westminster and Huntington Beach. But the most important new site added this time is the one off the 405 in West LA between Santa Monica and the 10 frwy. Seems like most of the activity this time was in the Inland Empire and West side of LA.
They did make some changes in my area, but with EVDO just turning on their are bound to be some changes in coverage. Also it looks like my old neighborhood in SoCal improved from "fair" to "good", hope it's true.
In my area it went from Fair coverage to Best, and I can't see where the no coverage with roaming being unchecked is anymore. What I do see is dark green with dots in area's now that I never saw before when I look further North & West of me. I also can't get it to show "Future towers" the page just keeps saying "Loading". Maybe they are still working on it.
Yeah they haven't got the 'future towers' function up yet. They do have it up for the IDEN side I think.
ERRR... Either it's not quite working for the NYC metro area, or Sprint has stopped building out. Clearly, my guess is that this just isnt working quite right yet.
Wow, I checked the maps for Rogers City, and their is alot of Nextel/Sprint (iPCS) sites around here now!! They must have really added alot in the past year in northern michigan.
I hope they didn't forget to load the New York program. Maybe we should start sending them messages about it.
Well hey larry, if you've got an inside source that I need to know about...there are a LOT of places that I can tell sprint to throw up some pannels.
I 2nd that, this area could use some help on sprints end as well. According to the coverage map, the only place getting a new site within the next 6 months is in the darien lake area.
I guess they just don't like us here, or you are right Yankees, they aren't putting any future towers up around here & are concentrating on CA.
Hey guys remember after the last update a couple of months ago there was a whole truck load of new sites coming in the next 120 days to NYC and surrounding areas. There's no chance at all that every one of those sites are up yet. Plus there should be even more of them coming now. It's odd how they simply forgot to load the new sites map for NYC.
well the Philadelphia area maps are fully functional............future past present and any other dimension you pleez
