17 quakes — one tied for fourth largest in Oklahoma history — rattle state overnight

In 2015 there were 907 earthquakes in Oklahoma, a 730 percent leap from 2013, compared to 1 in 2007. Last night there was a 4.7 and a 4.8 earthquake, which can cause moderate damage to homes and buildings. It's obviously tied to fracking, oil and gas producers injecting wastewater underground to produce more product.

I don't understand why the state of Oklahoma has said lets cool it on fracking for a while and see if things stabilize.
