RJB- Have you been in any areas where the coverage is spotty? I am wondering about the reception on this phone. How does it hold up in fringe areas compared to other Sprint devices? Thanks for your help and enjoy the new phone.

My home is on a hill so when I am traveling to work every day I encounter a dead spot at the bottom very strange lol. Anyways I can say that with the HTC Mogul that I had I did not loose the signal there. Also with this phone my call did not drop as well. Since this is new I do not know of a way to get to the field test menu yet to get my accurate readings. But no this seems to uphold the motorola reception quality. You know if you were closer I would just let you borrow this lol.

I thought that was my only question but I came up with a couple more. They may have been addressed already so I am sorry if that is the case.

Is there a place on the phone to plug in an antenna?

How sturdy do you think the phone is? I know you haven't been tossing it around and abusing it, but do you have an idea about how well it would hold up to normal wear and tear? Does the phone scratch easily? I try to be very careful with my phones, but sometimes they get dropped or they experience some water.

My A900 has been a trooper. I was really surprised by how well that thing survived rain and many falls on the ground along with cold weather. I will be much more careful with the V9M.

    Thanks again.

yeah there is a place to plug in an antenna on the back of the phone.
The phone is very sturdy it is made of almost all metal and it doesnt seem to scratch very easy as well. I think it will hold up very well.

and what is your current take on it since you had it for a while? a few hours for me and I think it is a good one so far. MPT does not support it yetand have to wait another month for the new update.

OK well I guess I never gave it a review I really like this phone. It has been very sturdy and has stood up to alot IMO. The menu still has a tiny lag but much better than the V3 models. Call Quality is superb voices sound very good on this phone. The camera is great takes really good photos. Reception is good most Motos have this going for them and this is no exception.

Cant really think of whatelse to report on let me know and I will answer it for you.
