This is an article in the NY Times. Do Cellphones Cause Brain Cancer? Quick Summary: Highly unlikely, but why then do people hold onto the notion. (Its long and I'm only 1/2 way through.)
Re: NYT Article - Do Cellphone Cause Brain Cancer I did not read the whole article either. But in my line of work, brain cancer from cell phone use is the least of my worries.
Re: NYT Article - Do Cellphone Cause Brain Cancer Reality TV can cause brain cancer (or brain rot, possibly both). There will always be people worrying about something. I guess some people feed off the paranoia. Even if there is some truth to this, will it really make that much of a difference in this already cancerous world?
Re: NYT Article - Do Cellphone Cause Brain Cancer Read an article about it. Summary: Studies have been done on mice and have shown that it does cause tumors in mice. They've correlated it to humans somehow. You know why? Because Dr. OZ and Oprah said so! Article: Dr. Oz Explains Cell Phone Dangers and How to Avoid Them - Oprah.com
Re: NYT Article - Do Cellphone Cause Brain Cancer I remember when these came out, I thought they were supposed to save the world from the "harmful radiation" Safe Guard Radiation Shield Protector, hahahaha
These articles are nothing more than fear mongering. There is more risk of death when driving in comparison to possible cancer and subsequent death from cell phones.
I can't believe this dead horse beating study/ argument is still going on..... Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8G4 Safari/6533.18.5
The problem with these articles is that they all say the same thing. They all say that cell phones "COULD" be causing brain cancer. Then always end up with something along the lines of "more studies need to be done". Its all BS. Until there is solid scientific proof and that the scientific and healthcare communities can agree on it then, its going in one ear and out the other.
