now both new razr v3 giving call failed message's, when making a call, when someone try's to call either phone they either get voice mail or dead air, any help here on this one
This definetly sounds like a network problem to me. You should call At&t and tell them. They can put in a trouble ticket and check the towers around you and see if anything is wrong. As for the echo, i've had that happen once or twice myself so it's something that's happened to many of us.
i was on the phone today for 2 hrs, there response to a master reset it worked , for 2 calls, will call tomorow, if they can't fix after 12 yrs, i'm gone to sprint
When I hear customer's say they were on the phone for 2 hours to customer service, a great big WTF goes off in my head. If I'm on the phone with CS for more than 30 minutes over a small issue like this I'd escalate like that. Usually if a CS rep is troubleshooting for more than 5-7 minutes and haven't given you a definite logical answer then you need to be with Tier II. Most newb reps take forever to troubleshoot because they don't know where to begin. And if you get an older lady on the phone.. forget about it.. unless she's smart enough to transfer to Tier II pretty quick. Regardless, if in 12 years you haven't figured out that from time to time the network has issues.. then I'm not sure what to tell you.
i was on the phone with tier 2, the reason i was on so long is i was trying to get serveral issue's fixed, 1. dropped call's, even dropped when i was talking to him, he had to call me back on land line, for reason #2 call's are going to voicemail on both phone's, so we where working on getting 2 phone's which even after a master reset on both, after the second call they started going back to voicemall, on the vary few times one phone does ring, the signal drops to none.tech said he was going to check with his supervisor and will call me back tomorrow, i told him he better call on the land line.
master reset...thats pretty drastic... if that worked to resolve your issue you can almost bank that it was a phone setting not a network issue
Yeah and you should NEVER FOR ANY REASON call into customer service on the phone that's having the problem.
only work for a couple of calls on each phone, i have had 3 differant phone models in the few weeks, all have had these problems. i think the tech was and about to pull his hair out and quit his job.
But we all know they are having some serious issues with their network, for the last month, after they sent out an OTA update along with the Alpha tag changes. I know they know about it, it's just when they are going to figure out where the exact problem is and get it fixed for all the people having these problems. He was just lucky with the master reset for the 2 calls.
I've also been experiencing issues with their voicemail systems, guess that's part of the iPhone compliance switchover.
Que? If you're having issues with your voicemail I'm positive it has nothing to do with the release of the iPhone..
