[Not April Fools!] VZW to get Treo 650, but...

    According to a post at Palminfocenter.com, VZW has officially posted a 'coming soon' page for the Treo 650 - take a look.

    Of course, VZW can't give the store away. Take a look at the note regarding Bluetooth:
    Lousy english aside, I suppose we should be grateful for file transfer, even if we're not getting OBEX.

    Good news none the less. It took them less time to get this out than the Treo 600. You could tell this was coming soon though given the rapid dropping in the price of the 600.

    Also, will anyone actually buy this? Sure it's a little smaller, but the xv6600 and upcoming samsung i730 offer a good bit more functionality as long as you don't mind using Windows Mobile.

    I hear VZW is running a special for Business users for $150 with 2 year contract.
    I'm trying to recall where I saw it.

    So I paid a visit to the Verizon Store in my local Circuit City Shop today after work.

    The Lady said that the Release Date for the Treo 650 is May 10th for all channels... not just Business, but Consumers as well. She didn't have the pricing readily available.

    She also mentioned that a Data Plan is highly recommended, but not mandatory.

    Here's an interesting side note. The Lady said that there will be a promo that will give you an additional $100 off the Treo 650 if you purchase w/ the Unlimited Data Plan. This is IN ADDITION TO the NE2 Discount. I thought I would pass this along to you guys to chew on...
