I cant get into the Nokia Section for some reason so I will post this here since I have a verizon phone. Anyways I have a question I have a Nokia 6015i and when I looked at my phone today there now is a thin blue line that goes across my screen it looks like the pixels on the phone have gone out. Is there anything I can do about this. I got this phone back in Nov. 04 so would they be able to send me a refurbished phone in place of this one?? I will post a pic of what my phone has done when I get home.

Since you are still within the 1yr warranty, I would go ahead and request a replacement. It is an annoying defect and you have the right to have a phone without such a defect. Verizon shouldn't give you any problems with this. I would be surprised if they did. Give it a shot...

    -UPDATE-
I went to the verizon retail store today and they gave me a new phone I kept the old battery and battery door. I think that it might be a refurbished one or what not but I am happy as long as it makes calls and takes calls.

If you would like to find out if the replacement phone is new or a refurb, go into the Call menu and select Call Timers. One of the selections there is Life Timer. If it shows 0000:00 or reasonably close to it, if you've used the replacement phone already, then it's new. If it already has a good amount of time already showing on it (in hours:minutes), then it's a refurb.

This is how I discovered that the second Nokia 3589i Verizon provided last year, was a refurb. As it was within the first 30 days of service (on pre-INpulse prepay), they should have provided a brand new phone. On the urging of Verizon Customer Service, that phone was returned, the manager spoken to, and a brand new phone was provided (which did not have the power-on problems as the first two).
