When a cell phone is priced at around $700, it ought to offer just about every possible feature. In this respect, and in many other areas, the Nokia N80 doesn't disappoint. After all, how many cell phones offer two built-in cameras?

The slider-style N80 is literally packed with features, yet it measures a compact 3.7 x 1.9 x 1.0 inches and weighs only 4.7 ounces. The phone's primary 3-megapixel camera offers both video-recording capabilities and 20X digital zoom. Users can select any of eight shooting modes, including portrait, sports and night portrait, as well as five resolutions, ranging from 640 x 280 pixels to 2,048 x 1,536 pixels. Available settings include brightness, contrast, white balance, color tone, and exposure value. A self-timer and flash are also supplied. The N80's secondary camera provides only VGA resolution, since its main mission is fast and simple imaging.

    Evidently so:

"Considering all of its other features, it's easy to forget that the N80 is first and foremost a cell phone. The product is, actually, a very capable quad-band phone that provides GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and EDGE support. Besides cellular wireless, the N80 offers integrated Bluetooth 1.2, WiFi (802.11g) and an infrared port. Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) technology lets users connect the handset to TVs and home stereos over an 802.11g WiFi network."

As Nice as the N80 is, it is still priced too high IMHO for a smartphone.

It's only priced too high if it's higher than you want to pay. Same with the Nokia 8801 or a Vertu for that matter.
