The Nokia N80 is finally available on the NokiaUSA site. I don't even rember how many months it has been since it was first announced for the US. Strange that it is still the WCDMA 2100 version, so what good is that for the US. N80
Charlyee - the page you linked to still lists the N80 as "Coming soon" as opposed to say, the N91 page where there is a tab that says "Buy it". It's also not listed in the "Latest Phones" page. I assume this has changed since you saw it?
Yes it changed in less than an hour after I posted this....sorry. It was shown available for $599 with free shipping and you could add it to your cart. Sounds like the N80 is out of stock at the Chicago store also.
Nah! I have found my soulmate in the 6131, goodlooking, high performance & dependable...what else could one ask for in a soulmate........:lmao: I will admit, I wanted the N80 ever since it was first announced, a quad S60 with WiFi and smaller than the 6682. I have since then changed my mind on WiFi in cell phones unill they become more advanced. The WiFi is almost always a lot slower than a PDA WiFi and the battery drainage is phenomenal. The N80 is quite confusing, why would the Chicago store (or NokiaUsa website) sell the WCDMA 2100? It is the first 3G Nokia and it does not have an operational 3G band for the US???????
It would truly be a world phone: quad band and the WCDMA 2100 would operate in Japan and a few other asian countries. Good for the business user.
Agreed, very good point. I think I was more referring to the WCDMA 2100 being useless in the US, but you are right it would be a true world phone....
