No problem here...just thought I'd give you some support. Mac revolutionized the whole personal computer business...they deserve credit for it...and MS copied it.
Well, if we're giving credit where credit is due, XEROX invented the modern PC business, Apple made it practical, MS made it popular. But never forget that the whole GUI concept was initially lifted from XEROX PARC.
Yes, I know. I know some of the geniuses that worked on it too. BTW, my first Apple PC was a 'Lisa". Remember that? But one could say that Apple won the battle of convincing the masses that a Icon-mouse GUI interface could be a serious computer (vs a DOS environment); but Microsoft won the war. oh well.
Back on Thread topic. For Father's Day, I sort of got (ie share with my daughter...you know what that means) an Ipod iTrip that plugs into the ipod and transmits onto any FM station. So that you can hear your ipod in your house, or car, without wires. Seems to work. But I though, cool, I can now transmit my Ipod 40G tunes to my Nokia 6230's FM radio too! Neat. Also got the ipod camera connector to download my Canon digital camera pics to the Ipod photo with USB.
I bought an iTrip about 3 months ago when I went to Texas, and it worked really well (especially at only $29!), but it suffers from the same problem all FM modulators have - if you're in a big city like DFW or NY, it's tough to find enough clear space on the dial to lock your modulator on. That said, I remain impressed at how well the iTrip worked. Since my Explorer has a cassette deck, I'm anxiously awaiting the release of Griffin's next big thing, the SmartDeck - a cassette adapter that allows control over basic iPod functions using the controls on the radio's head unit.
