I got the 6682 24 hours back and played with it for about 18 hours. I really like the phone, here are some details:

    1. First Impression:
    a. Solidly built with beautiful satin finish.
    b. Could be a little less wide - but coming from the 6230 everything seems big.

    2. Pros:
    a. Fantastic reception, specially in the known bad areas.
    b. Call clarity is excellent and loud.
    c. Speaker phone is excellent.
    c. Lots of customization possible.
    d. Beautiful large screen.
    e. Excellent Mp3 player.

    Cons:
    a. Maybe the size.
    b. My fingers hit the lens cover release button when I am on a call.
    c. The 6230 had a in-call volume button on the side which was more convienient than the usual navigation button.
    d. According to HoFo the 6682 may not be as easy to unlock.

    Unknowns:

    a. Haven't tried the camera out.
    b. A real good test of the Symbian OS.

It does not have a FM radio like the 6230 but other than that I will reluctantly admit that it does everything better than the 6230 and ofcourse has more "goodies" included.

So if I leave out my pet peeve of " why not a quad", I think I found another keeper. That's 2 in a row, can't complain.:)

Sounds good and fun Charlyee. At least with the ingenious feature of the GSM SIM card, you can switch between phones every hour, every day, whatever, to suit your phone needs and mood...all without having to contact Cingular.:) Have fun.

 Sounds like another great Series60 device, I loved my 6620. Symbian can't be touched IMHO. :D

The first Nokia quadband handset is due out soon if it's not already available. The 6270 is also unusual for Nokia since it's their first slider in a couple years.

Well, I have had the 6682 for a week to the day. The more I use it the more I like it. The reception is really fantastic, and the call clarity excellent.

The camera is far better than what I expected from a phone.

The best is the Symbian OS, I can't say enough good things about it. The amount of downloadable software available for it is enormous.

So far I have been able to just about everything I use my PDA for, it synchs flawlessly with my Outlook.

This my first experience with Symbian OS and I must say I should have done this much sooner.

Just though I would give an update.

PS: I am also impressed by the battery since even with continuously playing with it (and I do mean continuous), I can still go 3 days with an average amount of phone calls.

Hi ShoesGuy, are you spying on me....LOL. Yes I have been over at HoFo a lot. Inspite of everything, there are a lot more members on HoFo that have/like Nokias, specially the series 60, so lots more info there on it.

Thanks for the links btw, I was only aware of the first one.

I really like the "celltrack" and just downloaded it. I need to spend some time in setting it up.

Thanks again and see you at HoFo.:)
