Finally a Nokia i could see myself using, my last Nokia was the 8260, after that nothing really caught my eye like this one, i guess it reminds alot of my Moto v600, but looks more like the Moto v635, especially the black version, might look into this one when it's released. 6101, V635, V600
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally Why thank you. Now Cingular is going to carry the 6101 right? i see that it's Edge capapble.
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally Well, it has 800 MHZ, so the chances are pretty high. . It does have EDGE and it also has a FM radio, 2 of the featurs I really like in the 6230. You will love both featurs, I promise.
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally Spell check obviously does not help if I forget to use it. I also noticed that the 6101 has class 6 EDGE and not class 10, I wonder why?
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally I guess with there 1st Clamshell phone in the US and it being a Mid-price range phone is why it's not class 10 Edge yet. It will be nice to see how this phone is when it comes out & is something I would consider getting.
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally Looks very nice , it kind of looks like the Samsung E715: http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=383 Too bad it doesn't have Bluetooth but it's not a disadvantage if it doesn't include that. I wonder if it's Series 40 or Series 60. There is no mention of it having Symbian OS.
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally I dont think that phone will have a Symbian OS... but if it does than I might consider getting it. I didn't know it had EDGE, but without Bluetooth that kinda ruins it for me. Nice phone, anyway though. Hope Cingular gets the black one .
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally Nope no Symbian OS, it's Series 40. Cool looking phone with impressive specs however. Nokia 6101
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally phone! I don't care who gets the phone, as long as I can get one unlocked. I will give GSM a ton of credit for being very standardized.
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally I have to admit that I like Bluetooth so much, that I would really miss it in this phone. Like anything else, one doesn't know that they need it until they have it. I like the way I synch my palm pilot calendar and send SMS from my PC without having to take the 6230 bluetooth phone from my pocket. Also, viewing photo's taken from my phone.
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally Argh, the 6102 doesn't have BT either. What are they thinking? http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/0,6566,016-2339,00.html
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally I guess with this phone having PTT ability they couldn't add Bluetooth to the phone and I guess with Cingular looking to do PTT here in the US, they most likely will carry this phone. But i do have to say, at least they are coming out with a clamshell & maybe they are waiting to see how well the phone does before adding more features like Bluetooth.
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally You have a good point there Fire, i might be tempted to try it out, but after being spoiled with my Razr and my bluetooth headset HS850, i might have to wait for the bluetooth version..
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally Well with Nokia's reputation for excellent Rf phones, I can see me getting one to try. Right now i don't have a bluetooth phone, so i am not spoiled yet but if/when my 551 arrives that may change.
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally That could very well be . I'm pretty sure both the 6101 and the 6102 will be carried by all 4 German providers.
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally I agree with you Tony, once you have used bluetooth and liked it, there is no going back. But as Fire 14 said if the 6101 is a success then maybe BT will be added.
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally The only update I have is that expansys is taking pre-orders for both version of this phone at this time.
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally Expansys? man... i ordered a Siemens phone from then one day. a week later it came in the mail. the phone was branded by TIM (the italian operator), and the WHOLE manual was in italian!!! what the hell im i gonna do with an italian manual? mamma mia! needless to say, i returned it and bought another phone from plemix.com. nice online store and great selection
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally LOL... i bought my B/T headset from Exapnsys and everything went ok, i guess it depends on what you order.
Re: Nokia 6101 Finally Charlyee, thanks for the update on the 6101, so expansys and plemix as well as other private sellers now have the 6101 available for immediate delivery. http://plemix.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=P&Product_Code=11061&Category_Code=NOK
